Is Porlock a town?

Porlock is a coastal village in Somerset, England, 5 miles (8 km) west of Minehead. It has a population of 1,440.

Where Can I Park in Porlock?

We have 2 main car parks in Porlock Village. The largest of these is Central Car Park which offers both short and long stay options. There is also a short stay option at the Doverhay Car Park. This does have fewer spaces and usually the drop off and collection point for the coach trips and buses meaning it can get quite busy. We are excited to announce that there will be the introduction of electric charging points in the coming months which will be situated at the Central Car Park. Is there a High Street in Porlock?

YES!! We have everything from books and antiques to art and pet supplies. If you need walking equipment or ladies fashion we have some great stores with lots of choice. Our 2 mini markets have great supplies for a day out and if you fancy an ice cream we've got it covered. Visit our Shop page for more information

Is there anywhere to eat in Porlock?

The journey through Porlock and Weir is a tasty one. There are tearooms, cafes or even restaurants for all types of budgets with beautiful views over the sea to Wales in some cases! If you want something even more relaxing then why not enjoy sitting at the Quay at Porlock Weir with a packed lunch made from local produce found in the village. It does get more Somerset than that!!
